Volleyball Recap: Sean Spicer Key Part of Team Effort in Huskies Win

Chino Hills hadn't done well against Upland recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Huskies came out on top against the Highlanders/Scots by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in March.

Chino Hills walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-19, 21-25, 25-15, 25-18.

Chino Hills got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sean Spicer out in front who had 20 kills and nine digs. Spicer is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least six every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Tyler Way, who had five digs and one block.

When it comes to explaining why Upland lost, don't look at Nathaniel Stevens. Despite the final result, he had 37 digs and three assists.

Chino Hills is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Upland, they moved to 19-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Chino Hills has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Claremont on the 17th. As for Upland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Damien on the 17th.
