Volleyball Recap: Olivia Heekin Key Part of Team Effort in Hornets Win

Bishop Moore posted their closest win since September 12th on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Vero Beach Indians, sneaking past 2-1. The Hornets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

Bishop Moore's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Olivia Heekin led the charge by getting 24 digs and four assists. Heekin is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 19 or more in each of the last nine games she's played. Arianna Delgado was another key player, getting ten digs and two aces.

The victory got Bishop Moore back to even at 10-10. As for Vero Beach, with the loss, they broke their six-match winning streak and moved their record to 15-3.
