Abington Heights won the last time they faced Western Wayne and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Comets walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wildcats.

Abington Heights had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-18.

Shawn Theodore Jr. paced Abington Heights' offense, picking up nine kills. Theodore Jr. got some help from Ryan Horutz and his 25 assists. Shane Brower and Nolan Moore kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

Despite the loss, Western Wayne had strong showings from Theo Black, who had seven digs and one block, and Vincent Silon, who had ten kills, seven digs, two aces, and one block. Silon is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least five every time he's taken the court this season.

Abington Heights' victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Western Wayne, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.

Looking ahead, Abington Heights will head out on the road to challenge Valley View at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western Wayne, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Lackawanna Trail on the 23rd.
