Softball Game Preview: Sterling Silver Knights vs. Eastern Vikings

The Sterling Silver Knights will head out to face off against the Eastern Vikings at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sterling has three straight victories, Eastern has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Sterling needed a bit of extra time to put away Haddon Township. They won by a run and slipped past the Hawks 6-5. That's two games straight that the Silver Knights have won by just one run.

Eastern couldn't beat Cherry Hill West on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Vikings fell just short of the Lions by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Vikings have suffered since May 15, 2025.

The win got Sterling back to even at 5-5. As for Eastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Sterling came out on top in a nail-biter against Eastern when the teams last played back in May of 2025, sneaking past 18-16. Do the Silver Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
