Football Recap: Wake Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against Lee Christian

Wake Christian Academy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 65-0 win over the Lee Christian Falcons. That 65 point margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Trace Turner had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 61 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries, while also catching one touchdown. Brady Stiltner made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Wake Christian Academy proved: they limited Lee Christian to a paltry 1.8 yards per carry. While three picked up at least six total tackles, Turner stood above the rest. He rushed for 61 yards and two TDs on only five carries, and also caught one score. Wake Christian Academy's ground attack was stronger, having averaged five.

The victory got Wake Christian Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Lee Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Coming up, Wake Christian Academy will face off against Lawrence Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lee Christian, they will take on Berean Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 48.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
