Basketball Recap: ED White Commanders vs. Fletcher Senators
ED White was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 56-37 fall against the Fletcher Senators. While losing is never fun, the Commanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 582nd, while the Senators are ranked 163rd).
DJ Rivera had an outrageously good game for Fletcher as he went 7 for 13 on his way to 16 points in addition to three steals and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Bailey, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds.
ED White's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Fletcher, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. ED White won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Parker at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
