Basketball Game Preview: Palmer Tigers vs. St. Cecilia Bluehawks

The Palmer Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the St. Cecilia Bluehawks at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-34, which was the final score in Palmer's tilt against Fullerton on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Warriors are ranked 130th).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Lane Mottl, who posted ten points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brady Myers, who scored six points and six boards.

Meanwhile, St. Cecilia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Centura, falling 65-40.

St. Cecilia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Palmer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
