Volleyball Recap: Pendleton County Takes a Loss

Pendleton County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Patrick Saints. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.

Pendleton County actually scored more points across those three sets (69-63), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 13-25, 25-22, 25-22.

Pendleton County's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for St. Patrick, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pendleton County will venture away from home to challenge Lloyd Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Patrick, they will challenge Nicholas County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
