Volleyball Recap: Cottondale Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Cottondale waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Wewahitchka Gators 3-0. The Hornets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Gators, too.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-21, 25-11.

Taliah Peterson paced Cottondale's offense, picking up 16 kills. Peterson got some help from Ava Gilbert and her 25 assists. Anna Claire Speers controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Cottondale's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Wewahitchka, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Cottondale will challenge Gadsden County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wewahitchka has already played their next game (against Walton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
