Baseball Recap: Baldwin Bulldogs vs. Osawatomie Trojans
Baldwin scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Osawatomie Trojans with a sharp 19-11 victory. The win was just what Baldwin needed coming off of a 17-2 loss in their prior matchup.
Brayden Hirschmann made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (he also didn't allow any walks). Hirschmann has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive pitching appearances. Hirschmann was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with five RBI and a run.
In other batting news, Brett Davidson was a standout: he scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Tristen Kapelle was another key contributor, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
