Baseball Recap: Powell County Has No Trouble Against Owsley County

Powell County won the last time they faced Owsley County and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Owls / Lady Owls. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Powell County got a great performance from Brody Halcomb as he pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. The dominant performance also gave Halcomb a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, Powell County let Levi Wells and Lacy Dicken run wild. Wells went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Dicken went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run.
