Softball Recap: Sugar-Salem's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Sugar-Salem won the last time they faced Marsh Valley and things went their way on Thursday too. Sugar-Salem came out on top against Marsh Valley by a score of 7-4. Winning may never get old, but the Diggers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Kambry Bartholick, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Seneca Bitter, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Sugar-Salem's record now sits at 6-2. As for Marsh Valley, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Sugar-Salem will head out to challenge Filer at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marsh Valley, they will square off against Bear Lake at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give Marsh Valley their first taste of in-conference action this season.
