Madison Southern gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on the Jackson County Generals with a sharp 12-2 win. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly ten runs.

Kayley Goss made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
