Lecanto has gone a perfect 10-0 against Crystal River recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Lecanto came up short against IMG Academy Gray and fell 60-48. The loss put an end to the Panthers' undefeated start to the season.

Meanwhile, Crystal River also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Nature Coast Tech by a score of 63-53. While the Pirates didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Sharks 16-11 in the first quarter.

Lecanto will need to focus on slowing down Victor Christmas, one of several Crystal River players who made an impact when they last played. He shot 78% from the field on his way to 17 points and eight rebounds. Christmas is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last six games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Jake Yost, who went 5-for-12 en route to 15 points.

Crystal River now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Lecanto, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Everything came up roses for Lecanto against Crystal River in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 72-40 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
