Basketball Recap: Myleigh Williams Key Part of a Team Effort in Raiders Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Federal Hocking, Morgan was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They managed a 47-42 victory over the Philo Electrics. This was a revenge game for the Raiders: when they faced off against the Electrics back in December of 2024, they had to take a 54-42 defeat.

Morgan got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Myleigh Williams out in front who posted nine points. Maya Davis was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Morgan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.

Morgan has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for Philo, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-11.

Morgan will host John Glenn at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Philo, they will square off against River View at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. Philo is facing River View at the right time seeing as River View is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
