Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monessen). They blew past the Environmental Charter Hawks 74-33 on Tuesday. The Greyhounds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 21 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Environmental Charter still got an impressive performance from Tobias Howard, who posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Dalton, who put up six points.

Monessen's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-4. As for Environmental Charter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monessen will venture away from home to face off against St. Joseph at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Monessen likes a good challenge. As for Environmental Charter, they will face off against Geibel Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
