Volleyball Recap: Grace Prep Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Grace Prep can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Southwest Christian School Eagles on Tuesday. The Lions have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Grace Prep was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Southwest Christian School work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-17, 25-17.

When it comes to explaining why Grace Prep lost, don't look at Noelle Nelson. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs and three assists. Nelson has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last nine times she's played. Averie Eubanks also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Grace Prep now has a losing record of 18-19-1. As for Southwest Christian School, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-16-2 record this season.

Grace Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southwest Christian School, they will face off against Midland Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
