Recap: Navarro Vikings vs. Crockett Cougars
The Navarro Vikings posted their biggest win since November 17, 2023 on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Crockett 60-33 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Navarro sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sadie Peyton, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and seven steals. Peyton continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Lauren Smith was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Navarro's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Crockett, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-17.
Navarro will be playing at home against Richards School for Young Women Leaders at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crockett, they will head out on the road to face off against Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
