Basketball Recap: Universal Academy Comes Up Short

Universal Academy lost to Academy at the Lakes back in December of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Falcons took a hard 53-36 fall against the Wildcats.

It was another big night for Aria Sneary-Beachy, who posted 27 points for Academy at the Lakes. The team also got some help courtesy of Ycenia Guevara, who scored 14 points.

Universal Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Academy at the Lakes, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Universal Academy will square off against Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Academy at the Lakes, they will take on Redeemer Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Lions' defense has only allowed 26.1 points per game this season, so the Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them.
