Basketball Game Preview: Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds vs. University Bulldogs

The Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds will square off against the University Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Windsor Charter Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully University likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Windsor Charter Academy beat Liberty Common 63-51. The victory continues a trend for the Firebirds in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Windsor Charter Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kellen Ball, who en route to 18 points and five rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Ball now owns an excellent 41.4% three-point shooting accuracy. Dayton Long was another key player, to rack up 13 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, University came up short against Holy Family on Monday and fell 65-55. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

University's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Windsor Charter Academy, they pushed their record up to 20-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Windsor Charter Academy was dealt a bruising 89-49 defeat at the hands of University when the teams last played back in December of 2021. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Windsor Charter Academy was down 60-29.
