After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Maple Heights, Garfield Heights was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Bedford Bearcats 15-14. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 19-16 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Alexandria Roundtree was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Cara Miller, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Garfield Heights kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Garfield Heights' victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Bedford, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Garfield Heights beat the Bearcats by a score of 15-14 later that day.
