North Star Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 73-51 to the Kearny Kardinals. North Star Academy was probably out for revenge after losing 49-42 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

North Star Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Kearny, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

North Star Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cedar Grove at 4:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Kearny and Montclair will round out the year against one another at at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Montclair will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Kearny surely won't give up without a fight.
