Basketball Recap: Chapman Comes Up Short

Chapman lost against Walhalla back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Chapman Panthers fell just short of the Walhalla Razorbacks by a score of 68-65.

When it comes to explaining why Chapman lost, don't look at Colby Moon. Despite the final result, he posted 20 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Moon a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colt Mcallister, who put up 14 points and five rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Walhalla to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jack Williams, who earned 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Wise, who had 13 points and six rebounds.

Chapman dropped their record down to 4-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Walhalla, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-11.

Chapman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 88-50 loss against Dorman on the 4th. As for Walhalla, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-57 defeat against Clinton on the 6th.
