Soccer Recap: Santa Fe Comes Up Short

After soaring to four goals the game before, Santa Fe was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of the California Condors by a score of 2-1.

Santa Fe's goal came courtesy of Juan Ramirez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Santa Fe's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1-2 and their overall record down to 9-2-5. As for California, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-6-2.

Santa Fe will take on Whittier at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Santa Fe's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for California, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against El Rancho on the 28th.
