Softball Recap: Bowie's Winning Streak Snapped at Eight Games

It was a good run, but Bowie unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Lake Travis Cavaliers by a score of 2-1. The Bulldogs were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the four matchups prior), but the Cavaliers' pitcher proved too tough.

Valeria Feeney made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Bowie's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Lake Travis, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-8-1.

Coincidentally, Bowie and Lake Travis will both be playing Del Valle the next time they take the field. Bowie will host Del Valle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Lake Travis will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
