Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Daniel Panopio and Alain Alvarez Lead Imater Charter to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Downtown Doral, IMater Charter was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Mater Biscayne Academy Wildcats by a score of 66-53.

Leading iMater Charter to victory were Alain Alvarez and Daniel Panopio. Alvarez went 9 of 15 on his way to 24 points, while Panopio went 8 for 11 en route to 20 points and three steals. With that strong performance, Alvarez is now averaging an impressive 16.8 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Hernandez, who posted seven points.

The victory got iMater Charter back to even at 2-2. As for Mater Biscayne Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.
