Baseball Recap: Palmview Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Palmview had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rowe Warriors on Friday, sneaking past 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Lobos as they're now sitting on 12 straight.

Joseph Martinez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Palmview saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Those two hits gave Martinez a new career-high.

Palmview's victory was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Rowe, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 22-9 record.

Palmview will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
