Softball Recap: Longmeadow Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Longmeadow extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 11-3. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Pittsfield Generals. Considering the Lancers have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Isabella Blue was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Blue was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Charlotte Kasprzak, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Camryn Schrager was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Longmeadow kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.

As for Pittsfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly 12 runs.

On Pittsfield's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Irelynne Andrews, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Coming up, Longmeadow will welcome Wahconah Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pittsfield, they are taking a road trip to take on Smith Vo-Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
