Baseball Recap: Triton Comes Up Short

Triton fell victim to Knox and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Redskins, falling 7-0. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Redskins apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Triton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Kaufman, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Kaufman has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Triton's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Knox, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season.

Triton will take on North Judson-San Pierre at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bluejays have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.88 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. Knox does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
