Basketball Recap: Woodruff Starts off Right with Win over Brashier Middle College Charter

Woodruff took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 53-10 victory over the Brashier Middle College Charter Bengal. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Bengal: they've now won eight in a row.

Jensyn Turner went supernova, going 6-for-12 on her way to 20 points along with eight steals and six assists. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 13 games she's played dating back to last season. Jasmine McKnight was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds.

Woodruff smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 13 consecutive games dating back to last season.
