Baseball Recap: Bishop Brossart Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Bishop Brossart's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Campbell County Camels on Wednesday. The Mustangs have struggled against the Camels recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Alex Noe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on seven hits.

Bishop Brossart's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Campbell County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9-1 record this season.

Bishop Brossart will head out on the road to face off against Calvary Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Campbell County, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Conner at 5:00 p.m.
