Recap: Savio Eagles vs. Calvary Baptist Eagles
The Savio Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Calvary Baptist.
Calvary Baptist's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Max Guisler led the charge by scoring 16 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Guisler has scored at least 25% of Calvary Baptist's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Heine, who scored 9 points.
Savio has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Calvary Baptist, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
Savio is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Hill Country Christian School of Austin at 6:15 p.m. on December 5th. Hill Country Christian School of Austin will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Calvary Baptist, they will face off against First Baptist Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
