Newcastle came tearing into Monday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish as they made off with a 10-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Racers, who have now won 16 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Dax King was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Frazier, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

Newcastle's win bumped their record up to 21-1-1. As for Bishop McGuinness, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-16.

Newcastle will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Fighting Irish: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
