Basketball Recap: Springfield Gardens Comes Up Short

Springfield Gardens lost against Metropolitan back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Springfield Gardens Golden Eagles were outmatched by Metropolitan and fell 69-11. The match marked the Golden Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Springfield Gardens dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Metropolitan, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield Gardens will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Beach Channel at 4:30 p.m. on January 28th. As for Metropolitan, they will head out to take on Bronx Studio at 10:00 a.m. on January 25th. Metropolitan is facing Bronx Studio at the right time seeing as Bronx Studio is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
