After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Triad, Marion was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Centralia Orphans 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Orphans: they've now won three in a row.

Marion's win bumped their record up to 20-8. As for Centralia, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-12.

The future could be bright for both Marion and Centralia: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Wildcats will try to hand Richland County their third-straight loss when the two meet at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
