Basketball Game Preview: Barnsdall Panthers vs. Copan Hornets

The Barnsdall Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Copan Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Copan took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Barnsdall, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Barnsdall didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Bluejacket, but they still walked away with a 27-23 win.

Meanwhile, Copan came up short against Wesleyan Christian on Friday, falling 56-31. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Barnsdall will have to contain Elyzabeth Odum as she made an impact in Copan's last game. She posted 19 points and five steals. The contest was Odum's fifth in a row with at least ten points.

Even though they lost, Copan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Copan's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Barnsdall, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-11.

Barnsdall didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Copan when the teams last played on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 42-38 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Barnsdall since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
