Softball Recap: Hellgate Takes a Loss

The Hellgate Knights came up short against the Ronan Chiefs on Friday and fell 15-10.

Nat Blaney led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Donalynn Headswift, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Hellgate's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Ronan, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Hellgate will venture away from home to square off against Helena at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bengals have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Ronan, they will face off against Butte Central Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
