Basketball Game Preview: Boswell Pioneers vs. Frenship Tigers

The Boswell Pioneers will take on the Frenship Tigers on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Boswell sitting on 12 straight wins and Frenship on 13.

Boswell is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Braswell by a score of 52-44.

Boswell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sydney Durrah led the charge by going 6-for-13 on her way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Salena Carrasco, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 16 points.

Boswell smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Frenship faced Guyer in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Everything went Frenship's way against Guyer as Frenship made off with a 71-46 victory. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 22 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Boswell's win bumped their record up to 36-2. As for Frenship, their victory bumped their record up to 31-6.

Boswell beat Frenship 57-49 in their previous meeting back in February of 2022. Will Boswell repeat their success, or does Frenship have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
