Baseball Recap: Conestoga Valley's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Conestoga Valley waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Twin Valley Raiders.

Evan Wilson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Adam McDowell was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Garrett Daniels was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run.

Conestoga Valley's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Twin Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-8.

Conestoga Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-6 victory against Exeter Township on the 19th. Twin Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
