The Marsing Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Wendell Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Marsing is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.9 runs per game this season.
Marsing's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Vision. The Huskies haven't had any issues with Vision recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Luke Steinmeyer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. He also brought in three RBI, which is notable because Marsing is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 2-3 otherwise.
In other batting news, Dresden Wood was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing five bases while going 2-for-2. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.3 stolen bases per game. Teagan Kinney was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Wendell unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against Firth, falling 21-3. Trojans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Cougars since on Thursday.
Wendell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julian Ponce, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2.
Marsing's record is now 6-3. As for Wendell, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Wendell's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Marsing hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .336. It's a different story for Wendell, though, as they've only averaged .232. Will they be able to contain Marsing's hitters?
Marsing might still be hurting after the 9-3 loss they got from Wendell in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Huskies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
