Softball Recap: Hingham Comes Up Short

Hingham couldn't beat Marshfield on Monday even though they stacked six runs on them in the seventh inning. The Harbormen fell just short of the Rams by a score of 10-9. The Harbormen were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 7-4.

Hingham's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Marshfield, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hingham will face off against Plymouth North at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marshfield, they will be playing at home against Duxbury at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dragons have averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season.
