Football Game Preview: High Point Wildcats vs. Ramsey Rams + How To Watch

The High Point Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Ramsey Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. High Point knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Ramsey likes a good challenge.

High Point's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 42-0 win over Whippany Park. High Point might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 29 points or more this season.

Jerron Martress was his usual excellent self, rushing for 148 yards and three TDs on only 15 carries. He has been hot, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last five times he's played.

Martress was just one part of a punishing run game: High Point was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 289 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 277 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Ramsey earned a 27-20 victory over Dumont on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won eight in a row.

High Point's record is now 8-1. As for Ramsey, their record now sits at 6-2.

Everything came up roses for High Point against Ramsey in their previous matchup back in November of 2018, as the squad secured a 38-7 victory. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
