Basketball Recap: Todd County Central Rebels vs. East Robertson Indians
The Todd County Central Rebels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 75-55 defeat at the hands of East Robertson. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Todd County Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexis Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Shemwell, who scored 18 points.
Todd County Central has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season. As for East Robertson, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-4.
Todd County Central will be playing at home against the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Kentucky (Logan County is ranked 95th, while the Rebels are ranked 118th). As for East Robertson, they will head out on the road to square off against the at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
