Volleyball Recap: Duchesne Comes Up Short

Duchesne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Saxony Lutheran Crusaders. The Pioneers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Crusaders from their previous meeting back in March of 2023.

Will Johannesman paced Duchesne's offense, picking up three kills. Johannesman got some help from Landon Mccarthy and his six assists.

Duchesne's loss dropped their record down to 6-13-1. As for Saxony Lutheran, they moved to 5-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Duchesne will square off against Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Saxony Lutheran, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Pius X at 5:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
