Softball Game Preview: Huron Tigers vs. Elmwood Royals

The Huron Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Elmwood Royals at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Huron is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Huron might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-3 to Edison, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Lucy Hinners and Adelyn VanSickle did some serious damage despite the final result: Hinners went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double, while VanSickle went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Eastwood hit Elmwood with a four-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Royals lost 6-0 to the Eagles. The Royals haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Huron's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Elmwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-8.
