Basketball Recap: Anthony Takes a Loss

Anthony lost against Irvin back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Anthony Wildcats fell 69-62 to the Irvin Rockets. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Keanu Timoteo had an outrageously good game for Irvin as he dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. Timoteo is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Sepulveda, who went 8 of 15 en route to 16 points and six rebounds.

Anthony's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Irvin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

Anthony will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pecos at 4:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Irvin and Patterson Institute will compete for holiday cheer at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
