Preview: Joshua vs. Centennial
The Joshua Owls will head out on the road to face off against the Centennial Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Joshua will be strutting in after a victory while Centennial will be coming in after a loss.
On Tuesday, Joshua's game was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Burleson. The win was just what Joshua needed coming off of a 4-1 defeat in their prior matchup.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Carson Kilcoin and
Samuel Angeles, who scored all three of Joshua's goals. The pair have combined for a total of four so far this season.
Meanwhile, Centennial unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Cleburne by a score of 2-1. The loss put an end to Centennial's undefeated start to the season.
Joshua's victory bumped their record up to 4-7-3. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-1-2.
Joshua might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from Centennial in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Can Joshua avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
