Baseball Recap: Jacksonville Takes a Loss

Jacksonville fell victim to Whitehouse and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Whitehouse Wildcats, falling 16-0. If the Fightin' Indians were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jacksonville's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Whitehouse, they moved to 6-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Jacksonville will square off against Nacogdoches at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jacksonville is facing Nacogdoches at the right time seeing as Nacogdoches is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Whitehouse, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Whitehouse Wildcats challenge Lufkin Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Their pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Lufkin's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
