With a playoff win on the line, Loogootee rose to the challenge on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Shoals Jug Rox 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Jug Rox back in September, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Alaina Diamond paced Loogootee's offense, picking up 21 kills. Diamond got some help from Aubrey Gilbert and her 30 assists. Jocelynn Sims controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Loogootee has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-16 record this season. As for Shoals, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 24-5 record.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Loogootee and Shakamak will shake off the rust and duke it out at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Shoals does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
