Basketball Recap: Gateway Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

Gateway's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 54-46 win over the Adams City Eagles. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 34-21 win back in January.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Arianna Blue, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Evelyn Reyes, who posted six points in addition to 15 boards and six blocks.

Gateway pushed their record up to 9-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Adams City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.

Gateway has already played their next contest, a 35-33 win against Lincoln on the 15th. As for Adams City, they will head out to face off against Skyview at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Skyview will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Adams City surely won't give up without a fight.
